Solar questions, clearly answered
Before you go solar.
Which system is best mainly for reducing my electricity bill?
An on-grid system is generally the simplest choice when the property has a stable utility connection and the main goal is lowering daytime grid consumption. Net-metering availability and local rules should be confirmed during planning.
Will rooftop solar work during a power cut?
A standard on-grid inverter normally switches off during a grid outage for safety. Backup requires a compatible hybrid or off-grid system with battery storage and properly separated backup loads.
How much roof space will I need?
As a broad planning estimate, approximately 90–110 sq.ft per kW may be needed, but usable area varies with panel size, spacing, access paths, shade, roof shape and mounting method.
Can I add battery storage later?
It may be possible when the system is designed for future storage or uses compatible hybrid architecture. Planning this at the beginning avoids unnecessary equipment replacement later.
Is subsidy available for every solar installation?
Subsidy eligibility depends on the customer category, system type, approved equipment, installation process and current government programme rules. Eligibility should be verified before purchase.
